In the book, Bert Hellinger inquires into the emotional prerequisites that are necessary for pesce and reconciliation. He finds answers in examples from historic conflicts between peoples and cultures. But Hellinger also devotes himself to peace among religions, for example, between Christianity and Islam, as well as to peace between victors and vanquished in the Spanish Conquest, and between masters and slaves in Brazil and the United States.
